Public governance baseline · version 1.0

Founder-led. Publicly accountable.

Sovereignty should describe real control, not branding. This page states who decides today, which product boundaries Cindra commits to and what has not yet been legally established.

Effective 12 August 2026

The current reality

Cindra is currently founder-led. The founder decides product direction and operations. Cindra is not member-owned, has no member board or member veto, and no foundation, cooperative or steward-ownership structure has yet been established. We will not describe Cindra as user-owned until enforceable legal rights exist.

This clarity is a starting point, not a finished governance model. Future ownership and stewardship structures will be evaluated as the network and its responsibilities grow.

Commitments that apply now

No invisible material changes

A material change to the core feed, privacy defaults, public metrics, advertising, paid reach, data portability or account deletion will be dated, explained and added to the history on this page.

Explain before changing

Whenever safety, security or law does not require immediate action, Cindra will explain a material change before it takes effect and describe its effect on members.

Human agency remains visible

The core feed stays chronological, goals start private, authored intent is not inferred for reach, and recognition does not become a public popularity score.

Leaving remains possible

Members can export their Cindra data locally and delete their account through self-service. Product changes may not quietly remove these exit routes.

Moderation and control

Today, a private fixed-reason report does not automatically sanction a member, hide a contribution or rerank the feed. A formal platform-wide sanctions and appeals system is not yet operational. Before Cindra introduces platform-wide sanctions, it will publish the grounds, human review path and appeal route—unless immediate action is required for safety, security or law.

Any completed change of control will be disclosed publicly with an explanation of what it means for these commitments. Confidential negotiations cannot always be announced in advance.
